I go by the name Realism when i speak and Friday da13th when i compose beats.I am a son of the greatest mum in da world who brought me up as an onlychild and a single parent in Peckham south-east London. She turned down her dream when she was offered to tour the world with her live band as the lead singer to bring me into this crazy world. From a real young age i was a very musical child and i owe this to my musical family background. My two uncles who are my mums brothers both mceed (back den we called it toasting) on Saxon sound and went by the names Reds and Babyface. They helped me wright my 1st verse when i was around seven and then i used to buss it at all the big people dances on my cousins soundsystem. I still remeber Tippa Irie coming to check my uncles round my nans house and maxi preist coming round my yard to check my step-farther kane like it was yesterday. I could go on about dem days ca its like a movie but u hafi cop da album to get da full story.

Once i was in school my mother got me straight into any music classes she could.I learnt to play the violin, drums, piano, and guitar all in primary and carried on in secondary with the drums and piano. I wish man carried on wid the violin also but i was young and didn't think it looked cool carrying a violin down Peckham frontline in front of the older badbwoys.

When i was heading for college years i was getting caught up in wars wid rival youts and my man dem, smoking, and just doing what alot of gheeto youts do round that age.I wasn't really interested in going college ca asfar as i was concerned i was going to make music for life so why did i need a 9-5 like mum? My mother being the smart lady she is , heard about the BRITS School of Performin Arts and with a little persuading i was in. All i can say is those days were the best years of my life man, nuff sexy guals there and talent all around you so the creative nrg was heavy. I witnessed people like Marsha of Flowetry master their craft right b4 my eyes. I never 4get when we sat side by side in the apple mac room and she played me a song while she sang her heart out i said,' i can't wait to be able to play like dat' and she was like 'just keep practising '. I met so many great peps in dat place including Aundrey from Damage,Parabeats,Natalie of Flowetry and many more greats that you might not know yet but wacth this space we're gonna get there. Another great person i met was a guy called DangerMouse. I was bunning a zoot outside college(eyes 4ever red back den) when i heard a yout spitting with his head phones on. This was strange to me not ca he was spitting but beca he was spitting in a london accent and i swear to you back in 1994 not many but the greats such as London posse ,Demonboys and a few more were doing dat . In Brits i had most breeders telling me "you can rap good but you should spit in american", so me and Danger were tight from the jump off. He was working with I.G culture who i never heard of at the time but when i heard his beats and flows i was like "let me come up there next time man" . After Danger going on and on about me to I.G he gave in and b4 you knew it we were doing tracks all the time and i was part of his crew which consisted of myself as Shorty dash back den,DangerMouse, lingwistics(bemba segua),and Krazy Kid (R.I.P) . I featured on a couple tracks on I.G Cultures album called Smoke No Bones and we were working on other projects while he was putting out different projects on indie and major lables.
