Ray Covington

.Ray Covington is becoming a "household name" in the hit-producing Twin Cities of Minnesota.
Showcasing his talents as a singer and songwriter, his debut solo CD was titled simply, "RayCovington." It was released in the summer of 2001 and created a buzz that would quickly spread throughout the Twin Cities music scene. The album was almost entirely written and arranged by Ray, with Al Demmings of Semaj Records producing the album. It contained the local radio hit
"I'm Ready."
Ray landed an opportunity to headline his first big show at Minneapolis' The Cotton Club. The all-star band included former New Power Generation drummer Kirk Johnson, Monte Moir and Chance Howard of The Time, and Todd Burrell of Alexander O'Neal fame.
The second album "LifeStories" was released in Nov of 2004. A strong follow up to the first album, "Life Stories" was truly a musical diary for RayCovington, telling it like it was in his life and times.
The singles, Rich Man, Anything and Head over Heels were the biggest hits from the album solidifying Ray in the Twin Cities as a legitimate star.
Ray has opened for many National and International stars like Jaheim, KC and Jo Jo, Keith Washington, Tony Terry, The SOS Band, Alexander Oneal, Glenn Jones, Confunkshun, Montel Jordyn, Kem, Howard Hewitt, you name it, Ray has represented.
The newest album"Rayflections" was released in Aug of 07, introducing fans to another side of Ray Covington. "Ray Covington" made you STEP,"Life Stories" made you SING, "Rayflections" makes you SHOUT. Moving audiences with dance-able fast tunes, groovin mid tempos and smooth, sultry ballads. Rayflections seems to have it all.
