BIOGRAPHY



Bims Selector discovered his passion for Jamaican reggae in the year 2000 by listening to Bob Marley + The Wailers and Max Romeo + The Upsetters. At this time he also started buying some tunes and playing them with Nice Selector (King Sound Universal) at some dances in Kulturfabrik Wetzikon. Bims has been a passionate reggae lover and promoter of reggae music ever since.



After the first dances with King Sound Universal in Wetzikon, he played in some clubs in and around Zurich before he moved house to Chur in 2002 where he stayed for 3 years, playing his music in front of a larger audience than in Wetzikon.



After he moved back to Zurich in 2005, he started to record mixtapes and organize parties under the name of his new label "Ratman Vibes". The first Mix-CD called "Spreading Ratman Vibes 06" (Beat Bacterea Entertainment) was released in 2006 and distributed mainly for promotional purposes (50 pieces). However, watch out fi 2k9: There is a big mix-ting yet to come!



In 2007, King Sound Universal and Ratman joined their strengths to organize parties in Kulturfabrik Wetzikon (every 3rd Saturday of the month) under the name of "Riddim Riders + Ratman Vibes", which is called "r3v Promotion" since 2008. Various Dances and Swiss as well as international artists and soundsystemes were promoted during this time, the party series CULTUREGIONAL DANCE was initiated and keeps on mashing up Zurich Highlands wickedest dancehall, that is the Ratman and King Sound territory: KoKo @ Kulti Wetzikon.
