HOUSTON, Texas, US
Type:

Genre:
Hip Hop / Techno / New Wave
The first born to Leo and Lilla Bryant,
Vince Bryant is the most versatile artist in
Houston at present. Bryant is a vocalist, song
writer and a producer, with the ability to both
sing and rap comparably. Starting out in the
house of our lord at the age of only 5 years old,
Bryant was mesmerized by the sounds of his
voice which led him to venture off into other
genres and styles of music. In 1985, Bryant
started seriously getting into the rap game,
creating his own style of Hip-Hop inspired by
some of Hip-Hops most successful pioneers
citing Whodini, LL cool j, KRS 1, Rakim, and
Public enemy. Already established as a well
known producer himself, Bryant hooked up
with producer Sadik McNeil in 2002. With
Bryant's inexorable rhymes, and Sadik's
impervious beats they ventured off into a
community with a very high wall around it. Let
it be known that in 1998 Vince Bryant was the
first Northside artist to be recognized as a real
artist from the Northside, on DJ Screws 1998
mixtape release "Outlaws". In 1999 Bryant
a.k.a the "Bishop" at that time, started
performing in the Houston area becoming very
well known throughout and today is one of the
greatest underground artists in Houston. In an
attempt to exhibit his abilities, Bryant released
his first mixtape in 2005 titled "Interview With
A Veteran" while serving in the United States
Marine Corps in support of Operation Iraqi
Freedom soon to be followed by his debut
album titled "Sadik McNeil presents: Vince
Bryant's Greatest Hits vol. VII".
