Some record industry people say that the name of our band "Ranetki girls" is hard to pronounce. And to have international success we should change it.
We did a small voting at our Myspace.
Please take a second and take a second to vote. We realize that it's hard to learn how to pronounce our name and think that at the end it could be a solution to change. So Please be objective and tell your real impression.
What do you think of the "Ranetki Girls" name pronunciation? I see no problems with that.It's was hard to pronounce it first, but now it's okI can't pronounce it. You should change it for international market.

It s considered that the 10th august of 2005 is the date of forming the group and the beginning of girls music careers. They were only 16 and were studying in ordinary school and dreaming about being rock-stars and rehearsing all the free time. Now they are older and much more experienced of performing on the greatest arenas with the most famous music monsters! Every possible festivals, great arenas, super world-wide tours, exciting gigs very far from Russia and full house sole concerts on the motherland - it is just the beginning of their super-star career.
Tne Ranetki band consists of 5 tiny and beautiful girls: Nyuta Ranetka (drums, vocals), Anya Ranetka (rhythm-guitar, vocals), Natasha Ranetka (solo-guitar), Genya Ranetka (keyboards, vocals) and Lena Ranetka (bass-guitar, vocals). Ranetki calls their style street rock it is lively and energetic music, but in the same time quite light rock-music where is a lot of space for girls-lyricks and real rock-n-roll!
In 2006 Ranetki released their first album Ranetki which includes 14 tracks, including the main theme from super popular TV serial Kadetstvo the songs We are Rantki and She is alone . In September of 2008 on the most popular entertaining TV channel CTC started project CTC lights the Superstar , where girls were in role of jury and they had to appreciate performances of young bands.
Acting experience Ranetki were taking part in a few episodes in TV serial Love in marriage (Russian version) on TV channel TNT. Their debut on TV was so successful that they were invited to star in new serial on CTC, which was named after the band Ranetki . The song Angels was chosen as a main sound track of the serial one of the best from the album.
The serial is devoted to the life of five girls, who are the pupils of typical Moscow school and they create their own band which becomes more and more popular besides their schoolmates. Nowadays there are more than 130 series and filming is continuing.
The Ranetki-Girls are not just pop-rock music and filming project they are Family and they are enjoying be together, traveling and hanging out.
Genya, Lena, Natasha and Anya know each other from the school-time. And now they are studying together in the Moscow State University of Culture and Art and the youngest participant of the band Nuta is finishing school externally. The Ranetki adores Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Tokio Hotel, Pink, Avril Lavigne and other talented and outstanding celebrities. They are really mad about rock-music and that s why they did their best to create the new album which was released in the beginning of April, 2009.
It s our time that s the name of their new recording which presents you young, driving and stirring pop-rock. 13 hit-tracks devoted to love, dreams, expectations and other positive and negative fillings in our life! Forget about boredom it is time for Rock-n-Roll!!!
