BIO ITA Le RADIANCE nascono nell'ottobre del 2004 grazie a Federica Viola, chitarrista della band. Dopo alcuni cambi di line-up, nell'aprile del 2005 iniziano a suonare dal vivo con una formazione tutta al femminile. Inizialmente la band suona dover di hard rock & heavy metal di bands anni '80 come Loudness, Ronnie James Dio, Dokken, Crimson Glory, Lizzy Borden. In seguito la band inizia a suonare pezzi propri influenzati dalla musica storica di bands come Iron Maiden & Judas Priest. Durante i mesi successivi la band prende parte a numerosi festival e contests con un incredibile successo tra il pubblico e di critica. A giugno del 2006 finalmente la band trova la stella mancante nella cantante Karin Baldanza (ex Aghar and Amorgen). Nella primavera del 2007 la band decide di rinunciare al progetto di all-female band reclutando due nuovi musicisti, Fabio Accardo (bass, ex Sterminio) e Riccardo Barbiera (drums, Inner Quest). Con questa line-up la band inizia a suonare nuove canzoni, creando un mix di esperienze ed influenze davvero diverse che vanno a confluire in un sound distinguibile tra molti fatto di suoni pesanti, oscuri, epici, chitarre urlanti e elementi vocali davvero evocativi. Dopo un ultimo cambio di line-up (Elio Lao alla batteria si unisce alla band), ad Agosto 2008, la band entra nel loro studio e registra la loro prima uscita dal titolo ".And The Night Comes Down". Ora la band ufficialmente composta da Karin Baldanza, Federica Viola, Fabio Accardo ed Elio Lao, con rinnovata serenità e forza, sta lavorando su nuove canzoni cercando una possibile collaborazione per registrare e distribuire il loro debut full-length album.--------------------------------------------------------------------
BIO ENGLISH
RADIANCE born in october 2004, thanks to Federica Viola, guitarist of the band. After some line-up changes, in april 2005 the band started its live performances, with an all-female line up. Initially Radiance perform some'80s hard rock & heavy metal covers of bands such as Loudness, Ronnie James Dio, Dokken, Crimson Glory, Lizzy Borden. Later the band begin to compose its own music, influenced by great heavy metal bands of the'80s like Iron Maiden & Judas Priest. During the following years the band takes part to various contests with incredible success and critics confirmations. In June 2006 Radiance finally found their missing star, the singer Karin Baldanza (previously singer of Aghar and Amorgen), who replaced the previous singer. In spring 2007 the band decided to give up the all-female project recruiting two male musicians, Fabio Accardo (bass guitars, previously leader of Sterminio) and Riccardo Barbiera (drummer of Inner Quest). With this line-up the band started to work to new songs, creating a mix of experience and influence resulting the distinctive Radiance sound made up of heavy, obscure, screaming guitars with evocative (sometimes gothic) vocals. After a last change of line-up (Elio Lao on drums joined the band), on August 1st, 2008 , the band entered the studio to record their debut official release (a six tracks demo) titled ".And The Night Comes Down". Now the band, officially composed by Karin Baldanza, Federica Viola, Fabio Accardo and Elio Lao, with newfound serenity is working on new songs and is looking for a possible collaboration to release and distribute their debut full-length album.
