American singer-songwriter, Rachel Epp, is no stranger to the country. Having been raised on a farm in Maryland, and growing up in Virginia, Rachel was bred on gospel, country and folk music. There's no disguising her inspiration, drawing influences from Dolly Parton, Patty Griffin, Alison Krauss, Kathleen Edwards, and Josh Ritter.
Rachel's songs are ethereal and light, delicately captivating audiences in a world as tangible as the top soil of her home farm. Her voice and presence are personable and inviting to audiences, allowing each performance to be an intimate storytelling: genuine, as if you were hearing it from her over a cup of coffee.
Rachel got her start playing downtown Fredericksburg, VA performing The Watermelon festival in Richmond, VA, and the Pride Festival in Charleston, WV. After relocating to New York City, Rachel released her second EP, Rosary in the Fall of 2010. Urban Folk pinned it best:
" Achingly honest and full of passion, Rachel's delivery is always captivating and her lyrics take listeners to places they may have been before while offering new insight on moments familiar to us all."
-Paul Alexander, Urban Folk
