Rachel Hawker and The Remedies, a fresh new band surfacing from the local music scene along the south coast. Fronted by 22 year old singer/songwriter Rachel Hawker who has been writing her own material for the last 12 years and singing for much longer. Its fair to say she is no ordinary singer/songwriter and this is evidently clear on her latest record titled 'Dirty Little Secrets'.
Rachel Hawker is one of the most exciting acts around and from a young age was being noticed for her unique talent for writing and her passionate performances. With her first ever radio interview at the age of 13, the young performer continued to build up a fan-base along the south coast with just her voice and guitar.
In 2004 she decided that her songs needed that little extra something so she formed Rachel Hawker and The Remedies. The Remedies play an important part in the bands sound with their own mixture of influences. Individually each member of The Remedies have worked with Rachel in the past so the chance to all work together seemed like too much of a good opportunity to miss out on.
The Remedies
Kevin Rose - Guitarist and Backing Vocals
Session guitar player Kevin has worked with Rachel for the last 7 years and both have a very strong musical relationship together. Also he has gained industry knowledge from top professionals musicians while studying at The Brighton Institute of Modern Music.
Dan Chapman - Drummer and Backing Vocals
Alex Rowley - Bass Player and Backing Vocals
The subleties of Alex's ability as a musician and the fantastic relationship with drummer Dan, who he has been playing with for years. This makes him one half of the rock solid rhythm section that just kicks ass!
