Neo-soul recording artist, writer and producer QueenZy Luv has a fluidic musical swagger that combines the organic soulful energy of contemporaries Erykah Badu, Mary J. Blidge and Jill Scott. QueenZy Luv was a child prodigy who grew up singing and playing various instruments in church as well as gospel recordings before the age of eight. However, her life was tragically altered. QueenZy Luv was exposed to one of the most traumatic experiences in her childhood. She became a victim of child molestation and sexual abuse from people she trusted and respected beginning at the tender age of three.
Like the MAJORITY of people affected by sexual abuse or sexual molestation, QueenZy Luv remained silent for many years. However, also like the MAJORITY of people exposed to sexual abuse or sexual molestation, QueenZy Luv was not aware that her silence was not only a destructive source feeding her pain but it was also a destructive source inhibiting her from her own healing and being present in her own life.
Suddenly faced with a harsh new reality, this very painful circumstance has lead her on a mission to motivate, educate, and inspire others. QueenZy Luv learned through her "hard-knocks life" the importance in seeking support and speaking out. Through pain, tears, and faith, QueenZy Luv has weathered life's storms and created her own sunshine. As a singer, songwriter/musician, she has been able to nurture her own wounds through music and poetry in an effort to heal. A fearless conqueror, she innerstands that by trying to soothe other aching souls, she had to first save her own. QueenZy Luv is able to fully identify with the healing process from victimto suvivorto conqueror. Through music she has been able to impact many lives, giving those "suffering in silence" a voice.
Finding her own way, she began a quest for healing authenticity and started experimenting with various genres of music. With a blended concoction of Soul, R&B, Blues, Jazz and Rock & Soul, she developed her melodic signature style, "3rd Eye Soul".
