Mallia Franklin and her band The Funk Disciples .



She began recording a solo album in 1981 with help from many of her P-Funk cohorts. She co-wrote an R&B hit for Bootsy Collin's protégé; Mico Wave called ‘Instant Replay.’ She continued to sing on George Clinton’s Capital & Paisley Park releases. She had a cameo in the Prince film‘Graffiti Bridge.’



Her solo album ‘Funkentersepter’ was finally release in 1994 in Japan on P-Vine. She recently got her first platinum award for writing a song on Snoop Dogg’s current CD, ‘Suited & Booted.
