GOING, GOING, GONE.

So after a few months of doing nothing (which is not out of the normal for us) we have decided to call it quits. We are excited as hell to do our last and only tour this fall with our great friends Be Bad and DD/MM/YYYY. There has even been talk about re-learning and playing all the songs, even the ones we really fucking hate.

Quebexico started as a joke band and luckily we never seemed to shake that. We wanted to take the time to thank all the bands that lent us gear, all the friends we made and everyone else we are supposed to mention here.

Davey is now playing guitar in the Million Dollar Marxists and in his solo thing under the name of Mail Nurse. Steve, Chris and Jon are now playing in TEENANGER.

This is it.

See ya in the fall FUCKERS,

"Quebexico: This 4-piece noisecore-for-the-sake-of-noise band opened the show and the music was as bad as the band name. Pretty much every song was no longer than 2 minutes and completely indecipherable, sounding like sloppy B-sides that even the likes of Alexisonfire and Most Precious Blood wouldn't touch with a 100 foot pole. And given how much Alexisonfire and Most Precious Blood truly suck that's saying something. The lowpoint of the evening was the singer's "tribute" to Pantera in which he drunkenly described how he copped a feel from his girlfriend while watching one of their videos on Loud. Nice. Leech off a bit more from Dime's legacy you talentless fucking cock. I was literally screaming that at the lead singer while buying a round for my sister and myself when he was delivering his speech. Thankfully his drunken ass couldn't hear me let alone his horrible band. If only the paying audience were as fortunate.

So, in conclusion, Quebexico are pretty much Ottawa's answer to Babyshambles. Weak indie drivel masquerading as rock music that sounds like it was thrown together the night before with a train wreck of a singer who believes his own hype. Hey, once I thought that Sid Vicious was the epitome of cool and worth idolizing too.

Back in Grade 7."

"Their sets last less than 20 minutes, they refuse to tune their instruments and they gleefully conduct experiments on stage — like randomly pulling people from the audience to play along. Quebexico, on paper, should be a recipe for musical disaster.

But live, the ramshackle feel just adds to their charm.

That is, of course, if you can call the somewhat-spastic music of Quebexico charming. I do, just because they've got the moxie to toss out all sorts of ideas without fearing failure — or at least not showing any signs of it. With this much boundless enthusiasm and a healthy sense of humour, it's hard to go wrong."
