Q And Not U was a band from the summer of 1998 until September 2005.

Q And Not U (John Davis, Harris Klahr and Chris Richards) formed in the summer of 1998 (along with former member Matt Borlik) in the Washington, D.C. area and began playing out in November of that year. The band's first release, the Hot and Informed single, came out in April 2000 followed by the band's debut full-length, No Kill No Beep Beep, released in October of 2000. After much touring in support of their album, the band parted ways with Borlik and continued as a three piece, releasing the single, On Play Patterns, in April of 2002 and their second full-length, Different Damage, in the fall of that same year. Q And Not U toured extensively, in the U.S., Europe, Canada and Japan, with friends like Black Eyes, El Guapo (later known as Supersystem), Antelope, Erase Errata, Ted Leo/ Pharmacists, Aloha, Engine Down, Manhunter and many more. The band released it's final album, Power, in October 2004 and parted ways in September 2005. Every Q And Not U release was issued by Dischord Records.

Chris Richards released an album, Purple Blaze, under the name Ris Paul Ric in 2005 on the Academy Fight Song label and lives in Washington, D.C., where he is the Pop Critic at The Washington Post.

John Davis is currently playing in a band called Title Tracks. Title Tracks has releases on The Ernest Jenning Record Co. and Dischord Records. He also played in the band Georgie James, which released its only album, Places on Saddle Creek in September 2007.

Harris Klahr is currently living in NYC and has had several musical projects (The Clear Band, Gold Drum, President). President's debut album, Take Music was digitally released by the Friends label in September 2007.
