Pyr has been a music lover since his childhood, growing up with legends such as
Otis Redding, Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet…
He started to study solfege in 1992 at Clamecy Music School (Nievre, France). He played
trumpet (basic method J.S. Bach) while he was a hard-rock music fan, but focused on other
musical horizons (Hip-Hop, Techno…) during his teenage years due to his entourage .
Well, he finally starts thinking he can write and produce music with his computer.
He makes some arrangements in several styles as a beginning and buys his first sampling
machine. Then will come a synthesizer and a groovebox.
Afterwards, he discovers and completely falls in love with Jungle music, Drum & Bass and all
its subgenres, listening to ADF, LTJ Bukem or Roni Size first materials. As a logical
consequence, he decides to compose jungle music in priority. At this time his songs are
diffused through the Internet and he starts finding an audience.
2008 is the year of his first performances, Pyr plays his own productions with other
banging tracks from this electronic scene.
He founds in 2009 with his friend Darky the promising collective entity Electronic Elements.
He hosts the program "Panorama Radio Show" for one season on Radio Dijon Campus 92.2 with the team of Electronic Element.
In 2010 he released "Control Ep" on Totaal Rez Records.
