Ihsan Hines also known as Purpose is a man of God on a mission to share the word and love of God by any means necessary. He serves as president and founder of a ministry and record label called The Whole Armor or T.W.A. for short, which is a group of young adults who God has empowered through the tools of gospel rap, singing, dance and poetic ministries. T.W.A. has been fortunate to reach thousands of people throughout the United States and participate in effective local ministry as well. Ihsan, who is a native of Philadelphia, is the son of Mary Hines and State Representative Ronald Waters. Raised by a single mother he and his younger brother Atif had plenty of love and proper guidance from her, his relatives, teachers and mentors as well. He realizes that his mother was a significant influence leading him towards Jesus Christ. Ihsan is now the proud father of two children, his son Jeremiah and his beautiful daughter Moriah. He willingly admits that he has made some poor decisions but quickly acknowledges that he serves an awesome God who is merciful and gracious towards him. Saved as a child and rededicated in 2003, Ihsan is now a member of Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church where Reverend Dr. Alyn E. Waller is the senior pastor. A close friend has said that “Ihsan is a man after God’s own heart. He has sincere love for people, he loves praising and worshipping the Lord, and he is steadily striving to please and live for the Lord, despite trials, tribulations, despite what others may think about him.” One of Purpose's favorite scriptures reads, "All things work together for the good of those who love the LORD and are called according to His purpose." Ihsan says that he loves when people are challenged to grow after hearing from Jesus. Jesus speaks through the man of God so the glory and applause are due to Him. Why clap, rap, dance, rap and sing if there isn't a change afterwards? The lifestyle response is more important than a right now response."
