Lace UP is a punkcore band born in 2002 in Modena from four guys' desire to spend their time in a more creative way. Ispired from the sounds of bands like Ramones, Nofx and Peter Punk they started to practice togheter making their own music.
The lineup has never changed and is made of Garu (bass and vocals), Traico (guitar and backing vocals), Giacca (guitar and backing vocals) e Smerci (drums).
During theese years of sweating and passion, with more than 200 gigs played all over Italy but also abroad (this small dream became true with the 2008 Iberian Tour, when they played concerts in Spain and Portugal), they produced several records: starting from the raw punkrock of DIVIETO DI SOSTA [2004], to the faster and more effective COCA & RUM, [2006] until the melodic awereness of 9 MESI SENZA GIACCA [2008] and the last production PANCROCKOR coming out in 2011.
The live sets remains the main purpose of the band; the gigs are a perfect mix of foolishness and power, involving the audience in a pure punk-rock show. Moreover, since 2006 they start to play as RAMONES Tribute Band and immediatly this passion for the fast four gave birth to MODENA LOVES RAMONES, a recurring event that involves the local scene in a very special kind of tribute, arrived now to its 4th edition.
The band is really proud of taking part a several compilation of the punkrock scene, like Mp3 Goes Punk vol.1, Italian Punk Rock Party, Punk Rock Disastrous Movement Compilation Vol.1, Solo Roba Nostra vol. 1, All You Need Is Punk Compilation and the glamorous Indie Box Vol.5.
During 2010 the band joined the HUXLEY BOOKING's roster, a brand new agency based in Modena, that offer the band many opportunity to play all over Italy.
In the late 2011 LACE UP produced a new EP with 5 tracks, named PANCROCOR, according to the renew sound of the band.
