A Proper Rum Outfit

A Proper Rum Outfit are a Experimental/Hip-Hop/Dub Step duo from Manchester. They have performed shows supporting acts such as Wiley, JME, Virus Syndicate, MRK1 and Roll Deep (among others) from cities ranging from London, Copenhagen, New York and there hometown of Manchester, as well as having support from BBC Radio 1's Mary Anne Hobbs.

The duo first began making a name for themselves in the city of Manchester by hosting and performing in a series of Live Studio Sessions etitled 'Pub Crawl' which were released under 3 volumes: Vol. 1 - The Royal Oak, Vol. 2 - The Gardeners Arms and Vol. 3 - The Archer. Each volume featured a number of established and up and coming Manchester based Hip-Hop/Grime artists such as: Shifty, Raw-T, Rolla, Zinc Larynx, T. Bizzle, R.I.O. and more. Each volume was mixed by Mancunian Grime DJ Ryda-Z.

Currently the pair are working on a series of E.P.'s entitled Sound As A Pound which will consist of 4 volumes, with each volume rumoured to include between 4 and 6 tracks each. The E.P.'s will touch on selected genres believed to be Dub-Step, Hip-Hop and Rock and the first is scheduled to be released by Spring/Summer 2010.
