BIOGRAPHY
Pro Logic is a child of the arts. Born to a music composer and film post supervisor, Pro Logic himself began writing music 9 years ago and has not skipped a note since. Armed with an ASR X, Trigger Finger and the Roland JV 1080, Pro Logic creates the majority of his beats in the program Logic and then switches over to Pro-Tools for recording and mixing purposes.
Gifted on the guitar, bass, violin, and keys, this talented young producer incorporates many live elements into his work. As fitting of his heritage Pro Logics’ style is one built around melodic soundscapes and hard hitting, intricately layered percussion. His sound is best described as cinematic, and has quickly become in high demand due to the diversity and professionalism portrayed within his music.
An official DJ and employee as the Head of Recording Arts at The Remix Project (North Americas first government funded hip-hop recording studio), Pro Logic is deeply immersed in Toronto’s grassroots hip-hop community. His work as an engineer at the groundbreaking project, has led the young producer to make a plethora of contacts while maturing sonically and artistically in a short period of time.
Pro Logic has worked with recording artists: Joe Budden, Obie Trice, Saigon, K’naan, Sean Price, Kardinal Official, Shawn Boothe, Termanology, Umi (of Dead Prez fam), Bo (Of BWS), Tona, PReign, Point Blank, Wordsworth, Nickelus F, Saukrates, Bishop, JD Era, Shawn Desmond, Brass Munk, J-Diggz, D-Sisive, Untitled, Voyce, Maestro Fresh-Wes, Melanie Durant, Drex Inkredible, Eternia, Theo3, Ken Masters, George Reefah, Franz Thomas and Mayhem Morearty of Hustlemann Entertainment, Maple Music recording artists Rochester & Kasual Evans, The Show, Concise & Checkmate and Juno Award winners In Essence, in addition to the plethora of others. As a DJ Pro has opened up for Akon, Joe Budden, Pharoahe Monch, Ill Scarlet, and has done live performances on MTV, Much Music, and Musique Plus.
The quality in which Pro Logic puts into both his instrumentation of beats, and engineering skills, are the main reasons why he is quickly becoming one of Canada’s most respected and sought after producer and recording engineer.
