Name: Premo. Originally from Hollis, Queens, Jamaica Avenue Section, New York.



Premo is a talented young artist whom writes, performs and perfects his own music. He has also produce some of his very own beats for his music. He is only an 18yr old young man who's witnessed enough unfortunate events to cover three gorwn men's life times. Premo was born on June 3rd, 1987, in Jamaica, Queens. His life is dedicated to music and he uses it to express his deepest emotions. His lyrics and music are inspired by all that he has experienced through life. Unfortunately he didn't have the type of chidhood one would wish for. He grew up in the projects of NYC. A place we all think we would love to live. Not when you live off of the happening spots. Premo did not grow up with a steady family life. He grew up without a father and a mother who was a drug addict. Because of this Premo turned to the gang life. His gang members became his family and for once in his life he felt like he had a place in the world. Being part of a gang, you obviously will have to experience some of the more unfortunate events that occur in the streets. When Premo was only 14, his cousin Michael Pruden A.K.A. Blacc, was shot and killed . This is the event that led to Premo writing, "C U When I Get Thair". He dedicates many other songs to his late cousin. Michael was his best friend and role model on top of that. Although both of them were gang members (Michael being the OG, which is the leader of the set) they both had hearts and many memories together, good and bad. Blacc is the one who taught Premo everything he knows and has made him the man he is today. Whenever Premo was down, Blacc was there to remind him that there are people out there that have it worse then they did, and should be grateful for the position he's in. The death of his cousin left him lonely and hopeless for quite some time. This is where he turned to music to express his emotions as best as he could. Losing Michael was a truly heartbeaking moment in Premo's life. He shows his pain through the lyrics of his songs.
