Launched in September 2006, Pop, Bubble, Rock! has become one of the most talked about clubnights not only in Manchester but the wider UK music scene. The brainchild of founder and DJ, Ben 'ITO' Hiard, the night is a breath of fresh air in a local scene which an increasing number had labelled as pretentious and cliquey. Fusing an extremely danceable mix of punk and pop, with possibly the friendliest club atmosphere you'll ever witness, Pop Bubble Rock! (or PBR!) is quite simply, FUN!
You want a song? Just ask the DJs - Ben(ito), Tonia, Liam or Matt - that's if you can catch them whilst they themselves aren't playing air guitar or running round handing out lollies! No need for request sheets here!
The fortnightly clubnight was an instant hit with students and local residents alike and regularly attracts premier touring bands rocking out on stage like Hundred Reasons, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Data Select Party, The Ataris, Tellison, Failsafe, Sherwood, Zolof The Rock and Roll Deystroyer and more as well as other awesome bands wanting the perfect aftershow shindig (Frank Turner, Silverstein, Killswitch Engage, A Day To Remember, Alexisonfire, Hit The Lights, Bayside, Paramore, New Found Glory, Big D and The Kids Table, Every Time I Die and many many more)
As well as the standard clubnights, certain special one-off events are held including Pop, Bubble, SHOCK! (for Halloween); Pop, BAUBLE, Rock! (for Xmas); Pop, Bubble, PROM (for Valentines); P.B.aRghh Pirate Night; PBR! School Disco as well as the famous Beach Party!
