Pony Da Look is Temple Bates (composer/keyboards/vocals), Amy Bowles

(lyrics/vocals/keyboards), Rob Gordon(drums) and Catherine Stockhausen

(keyboards/vocals).

This Toronto band’s unusual sound has been described as “Medieval ghost pop”,

“Sexy robot make-out music” and “ABBA and the B-52s meets a history of organ

music”. They themselves prefer “4 gargoyles spewing juices from our

throats”.

With two CD releases completely sold out (2001’s self titled debut and 2003’s

“The Forcefield Weakens”) Pony Da Look is very excited to share their new disc

with fans this spring. “Shattered Dimensions” contains nine new tracks and two

rerecorded audience favourites.

This current line-up of art students turned art professionals has been playing

together since 2003. Bowles and Bates(www.templebates.com) continue to paint and exhibit regularly. Stockhausen is a TV producer and photographer (www.catherinestockhausen.com). Joining them in 2009 drummer Rob Gordon (Les Mouche and From Fiction) has brought on a new dimension.

"Pony Da Look have recently changed their all-female lineup by one person — Drummer Rebecca Mendoza for Drummer Rob Gordon. Still shaking walls and melting stomachs with their hallow medieval sound, Pony Da Look has slightly changed tangents with their sound since bringing Gordon in to take over on drums. How? Louder, more aggressive, probably a little (or, to some, a lot) more well-rounded. The bottom-line is, Amy Bowles is an entertainer. She grabs a hold of you and lets you feel her wrath. It’s a good, GOOD wrath, folks. However, be brave when you allow yourself to be pulled into the pits of Pony Da Look."
