Pocket Symphonies began in 2000 with the first collaboration between songwriter Paul Etheredge and producer Chris "Frenchie" Smith. A limited edition local release was followed by a self-released Pocket Symphonies album "Leaving Is Believing." "Echo Park" has been four years in the making, tracing the movement of Austin's famed Bubble Studio from its original Slaughter Lane location through its East 7th period on up to its present spot at 45th and Red River.

Paul's musical background as a symphonic priest makes him either an odd lad to front the freshest pop/rock act to emerge this century, or he's just so sick that it works.

Who are tomorrow's movers and shakers? The answer is simple: Pocket Symphonies are the most creative act to call Austin their hometown in donkey's years. Like a soft wind that turns into a tornado, or finding a lost love. You, the listener will be drawn into Pocket Symphonies' world with no regrets.

Watch for my boys to appear in your favourite venue and record store as we build the dream together.
