"Intelligent yet accessible, full of hooks, cheeky, rockin and lots of fun!"

-Neena Rai, April 2008 (Freelance Journalist, Wall Street Journal)

"Good material with nice building rhythms; Tightly executed sets, great musicianship, good synergy and interaction with the crowd"

-JAR Music Group, March 2008

"This is a quality recording and a very good sound. Slightly American but they pull it off"

-Popworld Promotes, August 2007 (Website for Channel 4 music show 'Popworld')

Based in London, and formed in 2005, Plastic Soup has tirelessly worked the live circuit, steadily building their broad yet loyal fan base, from students to 40 year old doctors. Their live show offers rocking sets with great crowd interaction, and they are renown amongst London promoters as 'the ones to watch'.

Taking on board industry feedback from previous releases, Plastic Soup have now achieved a focussed consistency to their sound and have already attracted the attention of many national and international record labels -Island Records, IRL, and the JAR Music Group amongst them. Through the latter, Plastic Soup performed at the main stage of the Carling Academy on 20th April 2008 at a media showcase event.

The new (soon to be self-released) EP is a quality ensemble of anthems; a six song effort featuring some of the many cherries picked from their vast catalogue (about four albums worth) and recorded in collaboration with acclaimed New Zeland producer Paul Matthews (Blindspot, Tadpole, Stylus, Dempsy).

Previous dates include the Cafe de Paris, The Garage, Storm, The Dublin Castle, Wings Festival and the Crystal Palace Bowl.

An energetic four piece, Plastic Soup is fronted by Dan 'Tits of Fury' Trovato who featured on the Traci 66 single "Fake", recorded by Thin Lizzy producer Kit Wolven.

Both accomplished musicians, Dan and drummer Ajay 'Sugar Pie' Naik met at Vocaltech/Drumtech institute of music in 2005 and went on to recruit a host of bassists before finding their man in Alex 'Monkey Love Nipple' Collins. The icing on the cake was achieved by the addition of guitar hero Chris 'Candypants' Kelly who currently lives with his mum.
