Remember the good ol’ days? Those good ol’days that came and went before you realized it and were filled with real Rock ‘n Roll and not the crap they pass off as Rock nowadays? Well, the good ol’days live on thanks to the Trailer Park Kings.

The Trailer Park Kings met in a trailer park (where else?) in one of the cheesier parts of St. Louis. Everything was fine and dandy until the day the park came under new management by a couple of unscrupulous people. Elvis Garcia, the previous owners grandson and a real greaseball, inherited the park after his grandpa Charlie died. To raise some quick cash for Jim Beam and Cheetos, Elvis sold half interest in the trailer park to the local hooker, Cynthia Sanchez. She was able to buy her way into the trailer park thanks to her special skills. Life would no longer be the same.

To top it off, the new owner’s neglect at maintaining the park led to the park-wide failure of the septic tank system, pay toilets at the clubhouse, and the institution of a twenty-dollar fine for peeing in the pool. A literally shitty situation if there ever was one. Things went from bad to worse with people being kicked out for committing minor infractions and etc. so Paul Kearschner, Rocky “Perv” Quire, Johnnie Ringtone, and Hotsy Boom Boom Malone (yeah, real name!) took to the road to share their troubles and raise money to fix the problems at their beloved park. The 2006 Trailer Park Tour was a minor success and helped build a fanbase across the country.

Kearschner is the principal songwriter for TPK. The group has released three original albums (The Trailer Park Kings”Live”, Plain Brown Wrapper, Turd in the Punch Bowl) plus an album of covers (Double-Wide). Their music is an awesome update on the classic Surf and Garage Rock sound that was so prevalent decades ago when music was music! Imagine Frank Zappa rockin’ out with The Surfaris in a trailer park and you’ve got the right idea.

The Trailer Park Kings also teamed up with Preston Highway and did some work on their critically acclaimed debut album titled Pablo and Mary’s Dance.

The Trailer Park Kings live by one simple creedo, “Some people play hard to get, we play hard to want!”
