My Pierrot Dolls were now back to a four piece and marched on penning classics like "Mirrors dont lie", a new version of "The Toy" was a big hit and also anthems like "Dejavu" and "Better than you" got wide acclaim. But all was not well in the Dolls camp and the two keyboard players Ian Hicken and Pete Antcliffe decided their musical interests lay elsewhere. The two lads left to later form their own band who had little or no success (Scaramouche) and then retired from the music industry. Meanwhile Ivor and Barry undeterred carried on writting songs in the cellar of Ivors house.

The Dolls then recruited John Airton(ex Vision) and Ian Hillman joined boards. They then recruited the services of ex Skeletal Family drummer Howard Daniels .

With the new members came a new style and the Dolls became a more agressive type of band. Their songs were more atmospheric and emotional culmininating in the release of the single "End of and Era" and the hugely popular "Martyrdom"

The Dolls became more a goth /punk band supporting acts like the UK Subs and Baalam and the Angel, just to mention a few. Their cd "Enricos Struggle" capture the band at its most prolific Goth era.

Now after 25 years since the Dolls first started three of the original Dolls are once again making music. Barry Andy and Ivor have all done a full circle and are now recording new material and doing remixes of some Dolls classic as the song says "My Pierrot Dolls are coming back to life".LONG LIVE THE DOLLS
