Pierre Ferry, Australian seasoned on stage and in the studio; an original musical artist from Europe. Born 1980 in France. He began to learn to play the violin at years of age, by his teens he was also playing piano and guitar.



At 16 he began to learn the rudiments of recording. At 21 he moved to Australia where he worked at 2MMM radio as a music producer and later presenter of the Backpacker’s Show.



Just before turning 23 he began recording his debut mini-album 'U Papa Tel U So'. This record is a fusion of funk, blues, soul and hip-hop with an original groove. On this record he does all vocals, plays all instruments, composes and arranges, engineers and produces all the tracks. He also mixes four of the seven tracks.



"I came to Australia because of its reputation for having an open minded and rich diverse music scene. As a composer I needed somewhere to make my music where I felt a real freedom to express myself without being limited by the history and culture of European music. And without being lost in the commercial competitiveness of the U.S. Australia has a developed and sophisticated music scene but it retains an openness and naiveté that allows freedom of expression. I think Europe and the U.S. have lost this. Australia has turned out to be the ideal place for me."
