There must be something in water for Australia to be producing so many innovative, thought provoking, world class bands that are dominating the heavy music scene right now. What is so refreshing is that each band is not a carbon copy of the other, each focusing on their individual talents and producing records that has the international markets taking note of this sun burnt country.

Enter PICTURE THE END from Melbourne. PTE, as they are affectionately known, often disguise their musical prowess in some of the most aggressive ball tearing heavy “fucking” metal grooves and combine this with brain defying time changes and surges of grind that have seen jaws dropping when ever PICTURE THE END take the stage.

Drawing influences from the very best of what metal has to offer PTE switch from beautifully composed guitar harmonies to razor sharp death metal riffing in a heart beat accompanied by a rabid vocal attack that is full of emotion and conviction. When vocalist Robert “RT” Taylor screams “we make music for the gods” in the inspirational “Lets Get Metal” you know these guys are having the time of their lives knowing they are about to make their mark in heavy metal history.

The debut album “They Swarmed Like Locusts” out on Stomp March 12th 2007 is a product of determination and passion and will have PTE setting themselves on the path that many bands strive for but seldom reach. With TSLL released in Japan in October, National tours with Job For A Cowboy, Darkest Hour and The Black Dahlia Murder already under their belts it's just a matter of time before this band take Australian heavy music to A New Level, Of Confidence, and Power.
