Phluid

They crawled out of the bloated corpse of 90’s Indie, the putrid stench of rotting shoe gazers hanging from their skin, as the final beat of the 20th Century died in a place beyond sound.



They viewed the musical wasteland and declared:-



‘Never again shall audiences be forced to sit through hours of whining pretty boys who pine for their lovers’



‘Never again shall the trip to the bar be the only joy a punter has to see them through the hellish night at the end of a gruesome week’



‘Never again shall the majesty of the RIFF be brought low by the strumming of angsty, pseudo poets’.



‘Our future is bright, our future is loud and we stand alone. We are the 21st Century Beatniks - Kerouak and Bukowski in our mouths, the passion and fire of glam-rock in our souls, and the ever driving, power of Rock n Roll churning in our guts’



‘We come to rid you of apathy, we come to entertain, to delight, to enjoy … we come to make you smile, and dance, and think … we are innocent … we are your creation … we are … Phluid’.



Sounds better than ‘we are 5 blokes from Selby, nr Leeds, who play with our guitars on 11, our hearts on our sleeves and our balls in our throats’, but that’s the basic gist.



We play loud music, with great lyrics and the kind of stage presence you’d almost forgot existed.
