"Broadcasting and the Music Business: both are very similar -- neither one is a very good 'fallback' career for the other."

If you live in Dayton, OH or the greater Miami Valley, you might recognize me as morning anchor of "ABC 22 Good Morning!" (WKEF ABC 22) or "FOX 45 in the Morning" (WRGT FOX 45) For those in the Cincinnati area, you might know me as the former "Traffic Guy" for News 5 (WLWT-TV - the NBC affiliate in Cincinnati). Quite a switch from what I've been up to for the past few years - but I guess the music and television businesses really are more similar than they are different.

In addition to my television work, I have played more shows than I can remember, in front of lots of people. I love being on stage. Some of the artists I've worked with include: Jason Phelps (Pay the Girl, Frickin' A); Roger Yeardley; Craig Coleman; T.D. Clark; Bad Company; Ted Nugent; and many more. Before I started at News 5, I toured for two years singing and playing keys for Cincinnati-based funk band FREEKBASS - produced by legendary funkateer Bootsy Collins.

Around five years ago, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, an event that has significantly changed my life - in some ways, for the better. One in three Americans suffers from some form of arthritis. Unfortunately, there are a lot of preconceived notions and incorrect assumptions about the disease. If you or someone you know is affected by arthritis, RA, or Juvenile RA, there are many places you can learn more - and many new and exciting treatments available. I am actively involved with the Arthritis Foundation, and encourage you to do the same. You can visit their website at www.arthritis.org.

Although my schedule has totally turned my world upside-down, I try to keep as busy as possible - and have worked as a singer, songwriter, keyboardist, producer and actor. I am currently endorsed by K&M keyboard stands, and am in negotiations with a few other keyboard/recording equipment manufacturers as well. When I'm not on the air doing compelling, live traffic reports, I spend a lot of my time in my project studio, Smiling Iguana Productions. In addition to freelance voice-over work, playing live music here and there, and producing a handful of other musicians, I am also currently working on my debut solo release - and collaborating with some old friends.
