Pete Kauppi

Pete was born on January 5, 1965, in a little town in northern Finland, called Kuusamo, just a few miles from the Russian border. Just before the age of two, Pete's family moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where they lived for six years. The family then moved to Langley, British Columbia, Canada, where Pete grew up and finished school.
Pete has been involved in church music and song writing since 1979. He started playing guitar in his church youth group and later joined a Christian rock band, Zion. Pete also played bass for his church's youth choir and was involved in recording an album with them. That was Pete's first experience in a recording studio. After that, Pete drifted away from playing music publicly for several years.
Pete got involved in worship music in 1998 playing bass and guitar for his home church. He began leading worship and writing worship songs in 1999. He has a passion for leading people into the manifest presence of God and seeing the Holy Spirit work in their lives. God has a definite anointing and call on his life to minister through music.
