Formed in the year 1992,

started by covering songs of The Sex Pistols.

Against the stream music mainstream at that moment which is tend to stagnant and

monotone. pestolaer is one of the band whom makes ways for other underground

bands at that time to be more ' heard in the Indonesian music society. In the year 1994 pestolaer start to leave its characteristic of sex pistol and to change over to

music genre by covering songs of  The Soup Dragons, Oasis, The Stone Roses,

and Ride, assisted by an additional guitarist One year later; pestolaer start to

step on to recording world With influence

of The Charlatans and of Neworder enriches the music

character of pestolaer.



After released  two  albums, because

heavy workloads and study from each personnel, in the year 1998 pestolaer retire

from its Indonesian music career .



After six years, The new pestolaer again showing

its existence in Indonesian music society by participating some indie events in

Jakarta and contributing in a film soundtrack ' CATATAN AKHIR SEKOLAH by

Rexinema and of FFWD Records with Tribute To Amster as it single.
