ANFO is an anti-homophobic,anti-racist,and anti-sexist.
Their lyrics denounce and critize the state, capitalism, y all types of injustice and egotism that they produce. The band supports a complete rejection of this murderous system that enslaves all of us, in the so-called first world and in the "third world" alike.
ANFO es una banda no homofobica, no racista, y no sexista.
Su letra denuncia y critica el estado, el capitalismo, y toda clase de injusticia y egoismo proveniente de ellos. La banda rechaza totalmente este sistema asesino que nos esclaviza todos, tanto en el llamado primer mundo como en el tercer mundo.
ANFO was born in 1997 in the chaos of Lima, Peru following the dissolution of a band called Complot that began in 1995. ANFO began with the simple and spontaneous idea of expressing, denouncing, agitating, and diffusing countercultural ideas against all authority and in strong reproach of the capitalist system in which we live. ANFO's lyrics also question these mechanisms as they operate within our personal lives and interpersonal relationships (lies, egotism, etc)
We are opposed to homophobia, racism, religion, borders, and all the bullshit that is imposed by this shit society!!
It is with this attitude in mind we create our lyrics and express our ideas and our awareness day to day.
Over the course of our existence, the good moments and the bad, the pleasant experiences and the not so pleasant ones have all served us, and we wouldn't trade them in for anything.
Over the years there have been several line-up changes; people that were just passing through, the curious, the inconsiderate, good people, people who really didn't give a shit, friends, ex-friends,.etc.but currently ANFO is:
EDU- Disorganized and ugly sceams
PERRO- Also disorganized, but not quite so ugly screams
KEMADO- Sick and raging guitar
K-RLOS- Wild Drums
And so ANFO continues, with the same attitude as always.
We're still here, and we're not going anywhere!!
