The name Perce-Oreille (Earwig) originates from the superstition that earwigs crawl into the ears of sleeping persons and bore into the brain. Although earwigs appear somewhat dangerous due to their forceps, they are practically harmless to man.



Musically speaking, le Perce-Oreille, Expressillons unreasonable eclectic division, is born in 1997 to propose artists who discover and arrange sounds with unsuspected psycho acoustical effects to diffuse the result of their sonorous experiences.



Mainly Dj orientated, working sometimes for Breakbeat or Techno, disturbing occasionally the good march of Drumn Bass and affiliated, flirting with the experimental without becoming abstract, Le Perce-Oreille denies himself following any logic.



After thirty 12 releases and 2 cds compilations, le Perce-Oreille changes into Perce-Oreille V2 and wears a new skin for a new series initiate by Interlope, Signal Electrique, Candy and Crystal Distortion followed by Mentalo & Funny then the 'breakbeat nutty professor' Chris Bradshaw and Prosper !



By waiting for a well under way new album (planned in autumn), sonic innovator Crystal Distortion's back on Perce-Oreille with ‘Power to the Pipe’ E.P. Once more Crystal Distortion deceives no subtlety to make fly into pieces the elementary rules of the composition and pulls us on the other side of the normality… enjoy !
