I opened for TANK's HEARTBREAKER TOUR last week.it was a great night.we had a sneak preview of the show @soundcheck and I almost lost my mind when I witnessed the boys bust out "freakin you" on some Jodeci madnessa great night all round.I'm just putting the photos up now so check them out. Currently I am working on a mixtape and this project will be one I completey write and record myself! So I am very excited!!!!

At twenty-two years of age, stunning songstress Peraira cannot be limited to any one style, genre or even region. The Melbourne native is focused on nothing less than creating innovative pop music that speaks to the widest audience possible, maintaining the uniqueness of her vibrant personality in the process.
A naturally gifted singer, songwriter and dancer, Peraira spent her childhood and teens focused on professional vocal and dance training, determined on taking the first steps toward becoming a force in international pop music. “I actually performed my first dancing concert when I was 2!” Peraira explains with excitement. “There’s never been anything else I could picture myself doing, ever.”
Forming a dynamic, creative alliance with Australian producer/songwriter Styalz Fuego in 2005, Peraira has found herself pushing the limits of her flourishing creativity in an effort to separate her sound from the industry norm. “I feel he understands my vision and is aware of the bigger picture in music. He constantly inspires me” she says of the producer. The pair’s chemistry is consistently evident, fusing elements of styles ranging from electro to 90’s R&B, to create sonically sublime and universally appealing pop music that challenges any pre-conceived notion of the genre.
Through her work with Styalz Fuego, Peraira made an appearance on Universal Music and DJ Nino Brown’s Blazin Afterparty compilation in 2006 (Alongside BVP – “Better Daze”) and featured on the independent single, “Oh Baby” from Melbourne lyricist Digga (J-Wess Project).
Re-locating to New York City for a large part of 2007 and, in her words, "immersing myself in the culture and getting to know and work with so many people I admire", a wide-eyed Peraira was given a rare glimpse into the mechanics of the coveted US music industry, focusing heavily on developing her sound with renowned music producer Knobody (Jay-Z, Akon, Mya, Kelis, Ne-Yo). The experience of rubbing shoulders with the industry’s elite forced her to adopt a universal outlook on her life and music, and has provided an inevitable spurt of creativity and drive that has brought her to this point in her career.
Although raised on the sounds of R&B and soul music’s pioneers – Donny Hathaway, Sam Cooke, Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston to name a few – Peraira now mainly sources her inspiration from the varying work of premiere songwriters The Clutch, The Dream and Sean Garrett, in addition superstars of our time, Beyonce, Mary J Blige and Rhianna.
Armed with natural talent, a forward thinking global vision, striking model looks and a pair of internationally respected producers by her side, Peraira is the future. Welcome to the next level.
