A great DJ is a filter, using his or her taste and experience to cherry-pick the best of literally thousands of tracks unleashed every month. Versatility makes a DJ strong. It makes it easier for a DJ to adjust to different rooms, different countries, different atmospheres in general.



I had a long and factual bio up here but it was, well, long and. who cares about the bio section? So now i have this, although at present i don't know what "this" is. In writing a bio i'm trying to find that nice balance of self-involvement, pithy self-deprecation and brevity. Which leads me to think that i should just stop here. But i've never been on the side of brevity, so i'll just keep writing. I was born in Bucharest on september 15, 197.and something. and now it's 2008 and i still live in Bucharest. Living in the same city in which i was born would be depressing if Bucharest didn't happen to be the last depressing city on the planet. What else about me. I make records and occasionally go on tour and play to the parties all around the country or outside. Since the start of my professional career i.ve played in many clubs and headlined gigs all over Romania as a feature DJ (too many to be mentioned here). I'm currently producer to MTV Romania as well, which makes me proud because i.m working with the best team ever.



Back to the future? I want to move forward, and push the scene forward, even if it is just small things. I see too many DJs who are enjoying their success, but they are so far away from being relevant anymore. And if I want to be remembered for anything, in forty or fifty years, it was that I was relevant. That I continued to reinvent who I am, and what I do. Because that is what this music is all about: PROGRESS, moving forward, being fresh and innovative, merging genres and creating new ones.



This is not just a dream. This is an aesthetic philosophy, a way of life. This is Pearl.
