Cool moments include growing up practically living in Eddy Raven’s house, hanging out with B.B. King, in the studio with Robert Reynolds and the Mavericks, having dinner with Brian Setzer, partying with Travis Tritt early in his career, bar-b-q’s at Judy Hoffman’s where a dozen great writers and hot-at-the-moment artists would show, growing up with Johnny Cash, being able to say my first girlfriend was Georgette Jones (fifth grade) and fishing on Tammy Wynette’s property…

My name is Paul King. I was raised in Hendersonville, Tennessee and still live close to there now. Right now I spend most of the time taking care of my grandmother - her profile is in my top friends. For 97 she's still doing well, but the days of me being here are quickly coming to an end.

I still consider Florida 'home' and am actively looking to return.

Prior to moving to Florida I had a relatively successful career as a songwriter. Not everyone writes with Grammy winners, Dove award winners, number 1 songwriters, and all that stuff.

I co-founded Heart of a Hero - an organization that helps raise money for families of fallen firefighters, and I wrote the song 'Heart of a Hero' which I'm very proud of. The organization struggled for a while under different leadership, but the mission of continues and I look forward to what the future brings now that all elements of the organization are once again, fully and completely, 100% under my control.

I own NashvilleHype! I do PR, Publicity, and Development for some GREAT artist (you can find them in my top friends).

I also have 2 Patents filed, and one TV show registered. There's a small chance the patents will be licensed - which is really great - And the show may be picked up and produced - which is awesome! I have a co-production deal on the show, but with the latest downturn in the advertising market, it doesn't look as if the show will be made -- least not now.

I'm constantly working on new ideas to patent and get to market.

I'm still single. Still looking. Been close to being married a couple of times but I was spared. Now I'm taking it real slow - many of you would understand.

I like poker, but never get to play.

I often say I'm just a kid - and that's the truth. I haven't decided to grow up. And I'm too young to try.

I'm a Christian. Like the 'read the bible, go to church, vote republican, completely against abortion' type. Though I'm more liberal than you might imagine. I have a 'live and let live' attitude most of the time. (Just don't hurt anyone but yourself!)

The songs you might be listening to are songs I enjoy - I haven't placed them on here expecting or hoping anyone else might like them. Of the hundreds written over the years, there's only a few I like, only a few less that are any good, and only a few less than that I would consider great . I'm harder on me than I am on anyone else. Yes, that's totally true. The songs above are well written - and that's what I like about them. I like any song that's well written. And I'm not trying to be a star by singing them myself - just doing it. I'm a writer, not a singer. that said, I still sing better than Taylor ;)

I'm as fair and honest as you'll ever meet. I'm as fun and funny as well. I'm way more serious than you could believe - to still be a kid, I take life serious.

Despite years and years of martial arts, I'm a lover, not a fighter. Very easy to get along with - just do things my way! lol. cause ya know, I know what's best and stuff. I used to say 'I love who I'm with at the time' - and I suppose in some ways I'm still like that.

I absolutely believe in being of service to others - though it's cost me more pain and heartbreak, and sadness, and lonely times, and money than anyone could imagine. I've tried to stop but I can't it seems.

Pray a lot.

I generally don't tend to look back with regret. I have a few, like everyone I suppose, but I try and not dwell on things I've done wrong - or people I've let do me wrong. That's not to say it always works that way. but I try. Can't change anything anyhow. Written a bunch of songs about stuff like that.

The songs I write aren't from personal experience. well, 99.9% aren't anyhow - I have written a song for a girl before, and I have written a song about a girl before. a couple in fact. but the vast majority of my songs are just mini-movies completely made up.

If you're a songwriter this might help you - write visually. See it. Outline the story you want to tell visually and fill in the blanks. Listen to any of my songs and you won't 'hear' them. you'll 'see' them. It helps to write this way because if something doesn't 'look' right visually, usually you've written it wrong that's a lesson you'll never learn anywhere else and no one else will ever tell you and you just got it for free. gee I should learn to charge.

I've been fortunate to have a couple of good friends thoughout my life - one I never see, the other I rarely talk to - but they've always been there when I needed them.

Not into movies cause I never get to see any. Not really into books.

Musically, I don't care what it is - so long as it's good. I've got a respected track record on artists and songs - I should actually be doing A&R somewhere. but it's got to stand out in a big way - musically, vocally - whatever. otherwise, I get bored pretty quickly. I can listen to about 15 seconds of someone and know whether they have 'it' or not. But who am I? just follow your dreams.

Anything else just ask.
