Papa Midnight is an alternative rock band hailing from the Philadelphia region. With their fresh and original sound, Papa Midnight will blow you away with their live performance.
Papa Midnight was formed in 2007 and played their first show on October 27th at The Stone Pony. Since then, Papa Midnight has been touring the Tri-State area heavily.
In 2008, Papa Midnight filmed a live DVD performance, thus allowing them to gain the attention of the national television series Backstage with Barry Nolan, which they went on to film in Boston Mass. After seeing their TV performance (also with Harrison Ford and Kelsey Grammar), movie producer Violet Mendoza sought out PM's music for her upcoming film No Boundaries wich went worldwide to over 20 film festivals such as Sundance, Cannes, Tribecca, NYC and Tokyo. After having 3 tracks go out to the movie, with such artist as Ben Kweller, PM continued to use their onstage energy and marketing skills to get their music and name out there. The summer of 2008, PM was asked to be The Susquehanna Bank Center's house band, performing in their VIP room for such bands like Dave Matthews Band, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Counting Crows and Jack Johnson. Also, in the summer of 2008 Papa Midnight was a featured band on Philadelphia Radio 104.5 and after hearing such positive feedback the radio station continued to play their live songs on a regular basis.
In 2009, PM was also featured on Philadelphia Radio 93.3 WMMR's Best of Jaxon's Local Shots album which went out to stores regionally. Also in 2009, Papa Midnight was asked to be the only band to perform twice live on Radio 104.5, and once again continued to play more of their tracks.
PM is now in the midst of putting together an EP and DVD due out in early 2010.
