In the musical scene for now more then 30 years, Paolo Andriolo started his live music experience when he was really young, alongside with blues bands during the early 80's, playing in different italian clubs. One of the main characteristics of Paolo Andriolo is versatily. Considered one of the major italian bass player with an outstanding personality, he has been collaborating with italians and international artists like: Pitura Freska, Francesco Baccini, Gipsy Kings, Alan Sorrenti, Gilberto Gil, Barbara Morrison, Flavio Boltro, Fabrizio Bosso, Marco Tamburini and many others.
He recently played with famous musicians well-known in the international Jazz scene like the renowned saxophonist Justo Almario, the vibraphonist Dave Samuels and the brazilian guitarists Toninho Horta and Helio Delmiro. In 2009, he shared the stage with the historical singer Gloria Gaynor during a show in Bari in the occasion of the 30 years of “I Will Survive”.
He played in many festivals in Italy, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Spain, England, Portugal, Croatia, Macedonia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia.
He lives between Italy and Brazil.
In Rio De Janeiro he collaborates with one of the most prestigious recording studios (Estudio Copacabana www.alcateiaaudiovisual.com.br) and he is the exclusive representative for the italian territory for the major latin american portal, which deals in digital music organization and distribution www.imusica.com.br.
In November 2009 the first solo CD was released, entitled Rio Funk. On this album, recorded between Italy and Brazil, played: Azymuth, Afroreggae, Arthur Maia, Kiko Continentino, the Brazilian singer Luma So Do Samba, Luca Boscagin, Tommaso Cappellato and many others well-known musicians in the international music scene.
In 2010 Paolo performs with Eumir Deodato, Donna Gardier, Angie Brown, Mary Pearce.
Also since 2009 is endorsed by Mark Bass amplifiers.
