2003 marked the beginning of The Palestinian Resistance, known simply as P.R. P.R's creation was the result of a group of young Palestinians wishing to express their feelings about the daily struggles faced by their fellow countrymen. They discovered that hip-hop was the most effective way to share their thoughts and hopes for the future of Palestine and its people. Hip-hop has also given them the ability to offer a peaceful way to protest against the occupation of their land and oppression of their people. Music can be understood by everyone, and that is one of their main goals when they create new songs.

The members of P.R. have already produced several songs which can be found online. They are currently producing more songs and hope to release their first album in the near future. PR is featured in the documentary Slingshot Hip Hop which premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. They have performed many shows in Gaza and Ramallah, and have also graced the stages of North Ireland.

P.R. is composed of four members. Mohammed Al-Farra, aka D.R the Dynamic Rapper, has already released his first solo album, Ana Jeet , meaning I have arrived in english. The album is composed of seventeen songs, featuring other artists from Palestine 48, Egypt, Denmark, and the United States. Mahmoud Fayyad, aka Kanaan, has produced to solo songs and is the resident comedian of the group. Moataz Al-Hewaihy, aka Mezo, can be recognized by his deep voice in their songs. Ayman Meghames, known simply as Ayman, joined P.R. after his previous group Gazesta decided to part ways.

P.R. understands how important the support of others has been to their work, and they would like to thank everyone, beginning with those who continue to visit their myspace pages. The British Consulate for making it possible for them to share their message from a stage outside of the Middle East, other artists from Gaza (especially Nourdin, Dev, and D.A Band) for helping to promote this form of peaceful protest, and their families for giving them the freedom, understanding and support everyday that make it possible for their ideas to grow in spite of a constantly worsening situation in Gaza. Special thanks to Zeiad Al-Farra, D.R's father, for lending his voice to D.R's solo album.
