OZAN MUSLUOGLU
1977 yılında Almanya'da doğan Ozan Musluoğlu 16 yaşında bas gitar çalmaya başladı. 2000 yılında Bilgi Universitesi Müzik bölümünu tam burslu olarak kazandı ve 2001 yılında ilk kontrbas eğitimine Volkan Hürsever , James Lewis ve Kürsat Ant nezaretinde devam etti. Kerem Görsev,Vanessa Rubin, Danny Grissett, Dena Derose , Allan Harris, Hilary Kole, Gary Dial, Tuna Ötenel, İmer Demirer, Ilhan Ersahin, Donovan Mixon, Onder Focan, Erkan Oğur ve Neşet Ruacan ile çeşitli performanslarda aynı sahneyi paylaştı.Marc Johnson , David Friesen, Dominique Lemerle ve Robert Balzar gibi çok ünlü basçılarla workshoplar yaptı.Yurt içi ve yurt dısında katıldıgı jam sessionlarda Marcus Miller, Roy Hargrove, Mike Stern, Willy Jones, Eric Reed, Erik Smith, Katy Roberts, Leslie Harrison, Bebel Gilberto, EJ Strickland, George Colligan and Bernard Maury gibi önemli müzisyenlerle beraber çalma fırsatı yakaladı. 2003-2008 yılları arası Athena grubuyla yurtiçi ve yurt dışında albüm, turne ve konserler yaptı, 2004 yılında Eurovision sarkı yarısmasında ülkeyi temsil edip 4.lük aldı. Rec jazz etiketi ile 2009 yılının ocak ayında ilk albümünü cikardi. Çalışmalarına tüm hızıyla devam eden Ozan Musluoğlu yine kendi bestelerinden oluşan ikinci albümünün kayıtlarını şubat 2009'da bitirdi. 2011 Mayis ayinda Equinox Music etiketiyle raflarda yerini alan albümde yer alan sanatçılar; beş yıl üst üste Downbeat dergisinde yılın trompetçisi seçilen Jeremy Pelt, tenor saksafonda JD Allen, piyanoda Danny Grissett ve davulda Darrell Green.
Ozan Musluoğlu calışmalarına Neşet Ruacan'ın şefliğini yaptığı TRT caz orkestrasının kontrabas sanatçısı olarak devam ediyor. Ayni zamanda her pazartesi aksami saat 23:00'de TRT Radyo 3'te yayinlanan "Caz Saati" isimli programi da hazirlayip sunmaktadir.

Ozan Musluoğlu was born in Germany in 1977 and started playing bass guitar at the age of 16. In 2000, he won a full scholarship to the Bilgi University Music Department; and in 2001, he started his studies with Volkan Hürsever, James Lewis and Kürşat Ant.He has since then shared the stage with Kerem Görsev, Vanessa Rubin, Danny Grissett, Dena Derose, Allan Harris, Hilary Kole, Gary Dial, Tuna Ötenel, İmer Demirer, Ilhan Ersahin, Donovan Mixon, Onder Focan, Erkan Oğur and Neşet Ruacan. He has done workshops with very well-known bassists as Marc Johnson, David Friesen, Dominique Lemerie and Robert Balzar. He had the opportunity to play with some musicians like Marcus Miller, Roy Hargrove, Mike Stern, Willy Jones, Eric Reed, Erik Smith, Katy Roberts, Bebel Gilberto, Ilhan Ersahin, Leslie Harrison, EJ Strickland, George Colligan and Bernard Maury in various jam sessions and club dates. Also, as bassist of the group Athena from 2003-2008, he recorded albums and toured nationally and internationally, including representing Turkey in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest where they placed 4th.In January 2009, Ozan Musluoğlu enthusiastically released his first album under the Recbyjazz label in February 2009. On the same year Ozan finished recording his 2nd album consists of his original compositions . The musicians in this album which has been released under Equinox Music Label in 2011 May are: Jeremy Pelt, voted rising star on the trumpet 5 years in a row by Downbeat magazine; JD Allen on tenor saxophone, Danny Grissett on piano and Darrell Green on drums. Currently, Ozan Musluoğlu is the bass player for the TRT jazz orchestra lead by one of the most respected musicians in Turkey ,Neşet Ruacan. At the same time he produces and presents the weekly jazz radio program titled "Caz Saati" on the national radio TRT on every Monday at 11 pm.
