Hip Hop Vocalist/Songwriter



Oscar Black is Hip-Hops newest heavy hitter, born in Hartford, CT.



In recent years he has released four albums, and has built an independent framework to support a studio, production unit know as Cash Squad Entertainment



His schedule has been equally relentless, but just as rewarding.
From radio interviews to opening for acts in and around CT. such as Young Jeezy, Max B, Papoose, Jim Jones, Sean Kingston, and Juelz Santana.
He is one of the few emcees that know how to take the music to another level.
He has an energetic stage presence and the ability to connect with any audience.



Running parallel to this you could also find him on various music collaborations and remixes.
His latest single "Get Loose Wit It" has been brewing up one thunderous storm and getting a immense response with various college and local radio stations.



His musical style is easy-going and melodic but direct, with a perfect balance of imagination and unpredictability.



He continues to refine and develop both his skills and his style making a lasting impression on all of us.

Hartford Hip-Hop
A whole range of MCs labor away at making a name for Central Connecticut's hip-hop scene.



"One MC making an undeniable buzz is Oscar Black, who also serves as co-host to the open mic. Black said he has been rhyming for about ten years and cites Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Nas, Jay-Z and 50 Cent as influences. With a nice, easy flow spread over bass-heavy beats on three mixed CDs, Get Gwap Vol. 1, Drops and Remixes, and the soon-to-be-released Get Gwap Vol. 2, Black plans to rope in the major record labels to the Hart-beat.
"I want to start my career here in Hartford," he said. "I want people to come here, because I would be taken more serious as an artist if they came to me as opposed to me going to them."
