A time and a place can’t be determined when thinking of the origins of 1500 or Nothin. Growin up, Larrance Dopson, Chucc “Unlce Chucc” Hamilton, and Kenneth “Bam” Alexander always found some time to devote to music. Staying true to their religious backgrounds, the church was the first place where the public got introduced to these talented musicians. Through the different church concerts, they met Lamar “Mars” Edwards and Chris “Brody Brown” Brown.
The chemistry between them was immediate and it was evident that they would go far beyond their church days. Soon after they started playing local acts all over the Los Angeles area, they began to get recognized by some of the biggest names in the industry, but it wasn’t until Bobby Valentino’s manager at the time, who saw them perform at one of the show and decided to hire them to play with Bobby Valentino.
The band continues to evolve and explore new horizons; recently they were blessed with the opportunity to tour the world with multi-platinum artist Lupe Fiasco. In each one of their shows, 1500 puts out an energetic show that makes the crowds bounce, dance and move.
With a recently acquired studio in the Los Angeles area and a growing demand for their musical talents, the sky is the limit for this movement, everyone refers to as “1500 or Nothin.”
