Oranj Mechanik

With roots extending from the Rocky Mountains to West Africa, Oranj Mechanik are streaming their noize from Colorado all over the globe. Armed with live instruments, diverse emcees, and several large messianic complexes they aspire to eventually rule the world (without so much as an Iron Curtain to back them up)

The core of Oranj Mechanik consists of 5 members: Nick Van Axl- Bass Guitar and motivational speaker DJ Dr. Claw- Turntablist and O.B.G.Y.N. Nathan Laramie- Percussion and sweatshop manager Soul Sur5or- English Emcee and former Voice Coach for Biz Markie Achilles Bambou- French Emcee and all star Point Guard for the W.N.B.A.

All Jokes aside we are not out to change the world, take it to the proverbial "Next Level", or anything of that sort. We are simply trying to restore and provide a quality that we feel has been missing due to the dilution and distortion of the art form.

Utilizing the self-titled album release in April 2003 and their addition to the SlamJamz roster as a jumping point, Oranj Mechanik are continuing their eclectic trek through the concrete music jungle (without the help of the RIAA). The future tentatively holds a second record entitled Oranj Mechanik 2: The Afterbirth Of The Groove. "Hopefully we can continue to make music that we like and that people enjoy" quips Soul Sur5or. and I feel that is all that needs to be said.
