We have been playing in the current constellation for about 3 years. The project came into existance years before with Kilian and Girisha as a funky, psychedelic, modal, jazzy thing and has, over the years developed towards a more clubby, dancefloor concept.
At the heart of the project, however, is songwriting in the classic sense. The songs are usually composed with guitar or piano, but the aim is to be able to produce and perform these songs for a club context - a live band playing music as danceable as a dj but with the intimate intensity of a classic songwriter.

Lucy Pereira (vocals) entered the German club-circuit as a live singer at drum and bass parties. Discovered by Jochen Helfert in 2001 for the renowned Munich label les gammas/compost records, the ensuing performances as lead singer for les gammas live! and the Compost 100 Tour took her to venues such as: Jazzcafé, London; Fabric, London; Big Chill Festival, UK; Fusion Festival, Moscow; Jazz Festival, Oslo; Elektronikaldia, San Sebastian; Vega, Copenhagen; Tollwood Festival, Munich; Mo’Vibes; Fürstenfeldbrück and many more. Lucy is also a member of the improvised performance based project centering around the Automatic Loop Machine (A.L.M.)
Girisha Fernando (bass) is the band's musical mastermind and producer. As a bassist he also toured with les gammas live! from 2001-2003 (Jazz Pulsations, Nancy; Vega, Copenhagen; Jazz Summer, Cisternino; Tollwood Festival, Munich; Mo’Vibes, FFB; Elektronikaldia, San Sebastian.) From 2002-2005 he formed part of the Nosliw (Warner Music) and Natty Flo (Rootdown) tour band, taking him to venues such as Popkomm, Cologne; Summerjam, Cologne; Splash!,Chemnitz; Chiemsee Reggae Summer; Afrika Festival, Aschaffenburg; WDR Festival, Mühlheim a.d. Ruhr; BR Zündfunk Bavarian Open, Munich; Juicy Beats Festival, Dortmund and many more. He has also worked with Chris Hirson, FreeModalJazzThing, Anja Janosi and MISUK
Drummer Kilian Bühler is a much sought-after percussionist in the field of Jazz and electronic music fusion. In addition to On the Offshore, one of his many collaborations is with the renowned Jazz drummer Walter Bittner in the electro-dance floor formation Digilogue (Jazztage, Regensburg; Campus Party, Leipzig; Bourges, France). .And he is the inventor of the infamous A.L.M. Loopmachine!!
Young guitarist Benjamin Rademann is making a name for himself as frontman for The Instrument (Munich) and Everything but Giants (Stuttgart) as well as guitarist and sideman for Ya-Ha! with Kung Schu of Blumentopf. In addition, he is active in his own, solo project as singer/songwriter under the name Bennie Benson.
Deniz Khan, who got his shine and finish at the Pop Academy in Mannheim, is now known to many as the talented freestyle MC of Dipol. With On the Offshore, he refines many of the tracks with beats from his Akai mpc2000 and lends his expertise in mixing live performances.
