ONE LAST WORD

One Last word was formed in Madrid in 2002, but it’s only at the latest 2006 when the band started to rehearse with a couple of new members: Javier Fernandez (rythm guitar) and Chus Maestro (drums, member of HYBRID and SUPRA), still remaining Diego Rodero (lead guitar) and Jon Finch (bass) as original band members. The same year they recorded and self brought out their first demo “No More Second Chances” and started to play around Spain with some bands like NO TURNING BACK, CONFRONTO, BLACK CLOUD HALO, NONE SHALL BE SAVED, STILLRISE, AVENUES AND SILHOUETTES, THE BAND APART and SOUND OF SILENCE. In 2007 Rafa Fernandez (ex ATSPHEAR) has become the new singer, and with him they have recorded a first advance for their next brand new full-length where the band will show their own evolution from metalcore style to a more technical and personal field, keeping the original melodies and aggressiveness developed at its beginnings. August is the month when the band enter Sadman Studio (HYBRID, CUERNOS DE CHIVO, ICTVS) to record their first full length album: “Thrones”, mastered by Alan Douches (SEPULTURA, HATEBREED, MASTODON), with artwork by Colin Marks (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, SUICIDE SILENCE, ABORTED), wich was relesased on December 1st of 2009 by the band.



ONE LAST WORD se forma en Madrid en el año 2002, pero no será hasta el 2006 cuando la banda comience realmente a funcionar con la entrada de Javier Fernández y Chus Maestro (HYBRID, SUPRA) a la segunda guitarra y batería respectivamente, permaneciendo Diego Rodero en la guitarra principal y Jon Finch al bajo como miembros originales. Ese mismo año graban y autoeditan su primera maqueta “No More Second Chances” y empiezan a dar conciertos por España junto a grupos como NO TURNING BACK, CONFRONTO, BLACK CLOUD HALO, NONE SHALL BE SAVED, STILLRISE, AVENUES AND SILHOUETTES, THE BAND APART y SOUND OF SILENCE. En 2007 se incorpora como vocalista Rafa Fernández (ex ATSPHEAR) y graban un adelanto de su próximo disco, en donde el grupo muestra su evolución del metalcore hacia un terreno más técnico y personal, sin perder el contraste entre melodía y agresividad que caracteriza su estilo. En agosto entran a grabar su primer disco "Thrones" en los estudios Sadman (HYBRID, CUERNOS DE CHIVO, ICTUS), que ha sido masterizado por Alan Douches (SEPULTURA, HATEBREED, MASTODON) en NY, cuenta con artwork de Colin Marks (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, SUICIDE SILENCE, ABORTED) y ha sido editado el 1 de Diciembre de 2009 por la banda.
