Since solidifying in the spring of 2000 in Gainesville, FL, One Drop has continued to gather strength with their progressive blend of hip-hop, jungle, funk, progressive rock and reggae. After the release of two successful EPs in local markets, One Drop released their first full length album Soul (Right Left Records) in 2004. After touring the east coast extensively, One Drop took a two-week break to write and record a five song EP FortNightShift (Hematoma Support Group/Right Left Records), collaborating with members of touring pals Grüvis Malt. After the EP release in the spring of 2005, One Drop hit the road again with Gavin Castleton (of Grüvis Malt) to support the split EP and his solo releases. They have just finished the recording of their second full-length, Of Love and Ambition, released in 2008 on Integers Only.
The band is currently on hiatus while its members focus on side projects and solo works.
