Listen up, world! This is a sound you don’t want your ears to miss. An up-and-coming group known as Oliver Jane is sweeping the southlands of California in a wind of eclectic musical composition and harmonious lyrics. Without the help of sponsors or record labels, this completely independent band has made quite a ruckus in Orange County. Perhaps it’s their stage presence, which is overwhelmingly joyous and at times euphoric, or perhaps it’s their unique instrumentation, including everything from classical instruments to broken bike wheels found in the garage, but Oliver Jane is something special.

In the Summer of 2007, two wanderlust musicians by the names Oliver and Jane crossed the oceans to the emerald isle (that’s Ireland) where they happened upon many whimsical adventures and loony characters. That’s where they first began writing songs, mostly influenced by said adventures and characters. The first rough recordings were done on a laptop and posted on the internet, and when the dynamic duo returned home to the U.S. they found a group of talented musicians ready to help them bring their music to the world.

Ever since then, Oliver Jane has been continuing to break the status quo, causing many to become emotionally, idealistically, and audibly obsessed with their music. The members include Oliver – guitar, vocals, mandolin, and banjo; Jane – violin, vocals, mandolin; Stephen Hsu – cello; Steve Schott – percussion drum fusion; Eliot Cossaboom – piano, concertina, clarinet, and mandolin; Jace Hinesly – cajon, bike wheel, shakers, djembe, and tambourine; and, last but not least, Sarah Natale – HTML master/ human calendar-coordinating advisor (she pretty much runs their lives). How it continues:



It has now been two wonderful years and we still don't want to quit! We've weathered many hardships, we've played many shows, we've failed, we've succeeded, we've laughed, we've cried, and we've barfed. We are now 7 members strong and hope to be famous by the end of the year.
