Sie treten das Pedal aufs Metall – und bei OHRENFEINDT fliegen die Gitarren tief. Ihr Habitat sind kleine, verräucherte Clubs ebenso wie größere Bühnen.
Beharrlich haben sich die St. Paulianer eine treue Gefolgschaft erspielt. Sie tourten mit den Münchner Metallern Megaherz, den Krautrockern Birth Control, dem New Yorker Blues-Schwergewicht Popa Chubby, den Downunder-Rockern Rose Tattoo, den Schotten Nazareth und der Tormoorholmer Legende Torfrock und den Punk-Ikonen Die Toten Hosen.
Ihre Rock'n'Roll-Götter heißen AC/DC, Social Distortion, Herman Brood, Johnny Cash oder Stefan Stoppok. Mundharmonika, Flaschenhals-Gitarre, fette Riffs, eine donnernde Rhythmus-sektion und rauer heiserer Gesang - das ist die schlichte Formel für den beinharten Vollgasrock des Kiez-Dreiers, der in Bauch, Beine und vielleicht auch ein Stück weit in den Kopf geht.
Ihre Kulthymne "Harley-luja" hat es als einziger deutschsprachiger Titel auf den 100-Jahre-Harley-Davidson-Sampler geschafft (neben großen Namen wie Doro, Judas Priest und UFO).
Die Reeperbahn-Rocker stehen auf klare Ansagen – und was sie zu sagen haben, sagen sie auf Deutsch. Ihre Songs handeln von Geschichten, die das Leben schrieb: von der Liebe, vom Hinfallen und Wiederaufstehen, vom Rock, vom Roll sowie (Trauring, aber wahr) von der Ehe und – wer hätte das gedacht – Brüsten aus Silikon. Schließlich muss es ja immer einen Silberstreifen am Horizont geben.
OHRENFEINDT gewannen den "Rocko" der Rockantenne Bayern als bester Newcomer 2007, belegten den 2. Platz in der Kategorie nationaler Act und landeten als Einzige in allen Kategorien auf den vorderen Plätzen.

FULL THROTTLE ROCK !!! from Hamburg-St. Pauli
The pedal to the metal – OHRENFEINDT's guitars are flying low. Small, smoky clubs are their habitat - and so are big stages.
Insistently, the St. Pauli boys have gathered a community of faithful fans. They have been playing with Munich metal heads Megaherz, Krautrockers Birth Control, NYC's blues heavyweight Popa Chubby, down under rockers Rose Tattoo, Nazareth from Scotland, North German rock legends Torfrock, and, last but not least, German punk icons Die Toten Hosen.
Their rock'n'roll gods are AC/DC, Social Distortion, Herman Brood, Johnny Cash or Stefan Stoppok. Harp, bottleneck guitars, phat riffs, a thundering rhythm section and a raspy voice - this is the simple formula for their full throttle rock, being hard as a bone and going directly to your stomach, your legs, and, maybe, your head, too.
Hence, their biker anthem "Harley-luja" is the only song sung in German that has made it on the 100 years Harley Davidson CD sampler (next to big names such as Doro, Judas Priest, and UFO).
The Reeperbahn rockers stand for talking loud and clear, and whatever they have to say, they say it in German. Their songs are telling stories written by life itself – tales about love, about falling down and standing up again, about rock, about roll, about (ring ring) marriage – and (who would have thought about that) silicon breasts. There's got to be a silver lining on the horizon, right?
OHRENFEINDT were awarded with radio broadcaster Rockantenne Bavaria's "Rocko" as "Best Newcomer" in 2007, came in second as "Best National Act". Moreover, they were the only artist making it into the top ranks of all categories available.
