Morbid Serenity is a five piece musical unit based out of Gillette WY. The sound of Morbid Serenity is a very eclectic blend of metal, classical, jazz, and acoustic rock. The tone can be described as everything that people think about daily, but never have the courage to address. The wide array of subject matter covers romance, loss, joy, politics, environmental issues, rage, depression, fatherhood, and marriage. The lyrics hit hard with the power drawn from real life experiences. The guitars bleed the resounding tones to accent the message with rich voicing. The drums pound the heart rate of the pieces, keeping the pentameter crisp and tight. The bass lines flow deep and rich. From time to time, the bass element is provided in the form of electric cello. At times, absolutely eerie piano and organ melodies are interlaced within the sonic fabric to bring forth music that appeals to a wide range of listeners. Morbid Serenity is bound and determined to break free of the monotonous nature of major label clone projects, and provide the audience with a brutally enlightening experience each and every time.



Morbid Serenity began in May of 2008 when Ryan and Brandon Gaddy decided to return to playing music together. Waylen Block was contacted to sire the task of bass player, and the writing process began. After a very busy summer of playing live in various venues throughout the Black Hills of South Dakota, Morbid Serenity relocated to Gillette WY. Once the new home base was established, the hunt for a new vocalist and guitarist began. Brian “Taz” Stein and Cecil Hayes were located to fill the voids. More rehearsals began in September 2009 in preparation for the “Holiday Hate Tour” featuring headliners Psychostick and Mower. Morbid Serenity was selected as the opening act for the Gillette WY show. This concert was an absolute highlight for the band, being the first time opening for a major national tour. Morbid Serenity is currently focusing on recording the debut album at Pro Studios in Gillette WY.
