JD was formed in Abu Dhabi in 2004. The band has been through numerous line up changes, has played at some of the biggest events in the region and worldwide and is now on the verge of breaking into the mainstream with the hit single 'Empires'.
Dia has been the mainstay of the band since the beginning and is one of the most recognisable singers in the region.Sari is also a long time member and plays lead guitar. Andrew plays bass, Lionel plays keys and James plays drums.
JD has opened for a lot of big-name, international acts such as; Justin Timberlake, Muse and in December 2010, Guns N' Roses.
JD's reputation as a great live act began in 2004 at the inaugural Dubai Desert Rock Festival. This was followed by recording the album 'Cause and Affect' and touring in support of that record in the UK and Dubai and sharing a stage with Paul Weller at the Dubai Desert Rhythm festival.
We have had great support from MTV Arabia, Virgin Radio and Dubai 92, all of whom are playing 'Empires' on heavy rotation. Empires is just a taste of the new material that is to come in 2011.watch this space
