Product of Jamaica, Queens births another rapper destined to usher in the new hip hop era, Brinx the multi-talented artist awaits his turn to dominate. Brinx, a name he proudly came up with alluding to the powerful armored transportation service protecting large amounts of currency. The name rightly suits the young emcee who is no stranger to “gettin’ money” like others growing up in Jamaica queens the streets was his place of business. However, seeing what was happening around him and his neighborhood the young rapper wanted a way out -- through music he found solace. In 2006, Brinx pleaded with God to give him direction in his music and thus never turned back. “I couldn’t make good music if I was contributing to putting my people down” declares Brinx. With both parents of Jamaican decent, musically his sound is an ergonomic blend of reggae, fused with popular hip hop, and hints of R&B. Brinx provides his fans with a refreshing sound. With an ear to what’s hot in the streets Brinx put together his first mixtape Pyrex Pimpin, which surfaced all throughout Queens and the neighboring boroughs. The young emcee has a certified hip-hop knocker on his hands with “Gangsta for Life” which featured the legendary reggae artist Movado. Presently, Brinx has another masterfully produced street-anthem with his new single “Knock Your Socks Off” which promises to do just that. In just a short time, Brinx has carved out a voice in music that is unmistakably his own. Brinx recently won the Violator Management “Who Got Skillz” contest, he was awarded representation, interview with Sirius Satellite Radio’s Shady 45 with DJ Whoo Kid, a single deal and online distribution deal with Ingrams, as well as a music video and press coverage. With the support of Violator Management; Brinx is amongst the likes of 50 Cent, LL Cool J and Busta Rhymes just to name a few.
